M. Denise Wright has been appointed as the U.S. Department of State Veterans Employment Program Manager. Over the six years since joining the Department of State in 2003, Denise has held positions as a management analyst and human resources specialist within the human resources arena. Denise's areas of expertise encompass several human resources specialties including policy, position management, compensation and performance management. Denise has also worked as a business consultant in the private sector where she specialized in business process re-engineering for federal human resource clients. Prior to coming to the Department of State, Denise taught high school in District of Columbia School system. Denise is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College where she received a B.S. in Business Management Specializing in Human Resources Management and a Certificate in Human Resource Management. She also earned a M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University with a focus in effective administration and organizational behavior. Denise is a retired military veteran having served in the United States Army.
